Powerhouse

Sorry guys bout yesterday…
my transport was going to leave so i couldnt finish my last post properly…

okay.. i noticed some problems with my first post…
let my clarify with you peeps…
we normally have our off days on mondays right? but i said it may not be possible anymore because we are being busified by all the planning and prepping for the programmes and events we have to hold…
just without the special events and all that, we are actually very busy already…
we have weekly assignments, and daily spiritual diaries that we need to do…
and usually the speakers will give us some kind of homework to do too…

now to continue my long awaited speech! (insert crowd cheering here)

The title for my second speech is ‘The Daily Life II’. I will continue by talking about our Saturdays and Sundays. On Saturday mornings, its our School of Hard Knocks time. From 9am-11.45am we do random jobs that the pastor want us to do, serious physical knocking. For example, we cleared the big recycle bin outside the church for the first week. And we have cleaned a lot of places. Then, we do a weekly evaluation on the events that have happened and the things we have learned for that week. Also, we evaluate the leader of the week, how he or she has done, what we did wrong, how we can improve and stuff. Then we prep for children ministry which starts at 2.30pm. And at 4.30pm we have the youth before-service-prayer-meeting. 5.30pm is our youth meeting till 7.30pm. Normally, we will wait for the last youth to go home and Ps Tom will bring us out for dinner and we will reach home at umm… between 9-10pm. Thats our Saturdays. For our Sundays, 8.30am is prayer meet, then church service, then lunch, then youth music practice (im already starting to play for youth wahoo!!), after that go home… phew…
Life is indeed exciting here for the SYMers. Especially to those who dont have parents to cook for them and care for them.

ok… staying in the same apartment with 4 other crazy people is really killing me… look at my intro… omg…

okay… lemme start by telling you where i stay…
i stay in Lavinia Apartments in Sri Nibong i think… on Penang Island…
with Kevin, Matthew, Juan Ling (Basel KK), and Nethanel (SIB Kingfisher)… yes… they are killing me…
actually it is Pastor Thomas Barnabas’s (the youth leader) fault… he put me in charge of the house… all future mothers, lemme give you some advice: do not give birth to 4 males all in the same year… you will DIE… especially if you dont train them to wake up when their alarms ring…

Ladies and gentlemen, now, the real deal. The title for my topic of my speach in the PowerHouse Blog of my Penang Trip in Penang of the SYM course from January until now while i have the opportunity to type in the house of the foster parents of Bernice in the other part of Penang after we just had a nice and cool steam boat with some other SYM participants and our Pastor is: ‘The Daily Life’.
Let us start with our mondays. We normally have our off-days here but… I dont think that will be possible from now on… Next, our Tuesdays through Fridays are our “9am-6pm sessions with whatever the invited speakers want to do with us”. Or normal classes day. Normally, they do weird stuff to us. Non-stop excitement. You’ve seen the pics of some who spoke to us right? Bernice uploaded those photos… Those were just SOME of them… and most of them we need to invite to KK to PowerHouse to speak hahaha… I will need another post to write about what we’ve done. Oh no… i need to go… my pastor is leaving… my sats and sundays will be continued next time.. bye guys…

Hi everyone…. 🙂

how are you all doing…?? :p good….??…goood…hahahah..ok yea…

It has just been the second week but we’ve learned so much already…and Aaron’s like saying it has been so long here already…cuz of all the learning and when we talk to the youths, it feels like we’ve known them long time already..haha :p so ya, it has been a really long, fast and tiring two weeks here but most of all, we had a great time… :p

this week was like a season where everybody got sick..haha..cuz the weather was like really bad…and so many of us got sick… I had like cough and flu and I was kinda weak…and Aaron got sick too and had headache and he nose bled for the first time…haha..somemore so kesian, he was the leader for this week…den other peeps also la…so ya…

We learned a lot of stuff this week….It was great to learn graphics by this really good media and graphics pro….and the person is a ‘she’…!! :p haha..she was really good and taught us how to use photoshop and all that..so next time our church will have better looking designed fliers and bulletins…hahaha….

OOhh….then we learned about EVANGELISM….weeeee…it was so totally cool cuz many of us was so impacted and more excited to share our faith with others…this guys taught us many ways and all the easy steps to sharing about Jesus..maybe we’ll ask them to teach Powerhouse one day…hehe…they’r really good and the materials are so easy and it makes it all the better to not be scard of anything when you share about Christ.. :p AMEN..?
haha..yea…so Evangelism is actually a lifestyle..u dont hav to be a missionary to go evangelize but just talkin to frens and sharing your faith is already evangelizing..and evangelism is also a relationship..and do u know that EVERY religion also does evangelism…??so we cant lose to them right…? :p yea..

Then matt and I like actually joined one of the teams in penang in Floorball….and it was totally FUN…haha..and it is like so big and famous in penang…I know sabah not so into floorball yet…. :p

OOHH…and we started our exercise this week and it will happen everyday except sat, sun and mondays…..it was really coolll…cuz i was kinda excited because of the after-the-long-term-no-excercise-because-of-spm-period, i was able to train again and become fit again..ahaha…Kevin was like ‘yes!! can lose weight again…’ haha…so yea….we did jogging on the air itam dam for 3km non-stop..!! not bad ehh…pretty good..haha :p then we played ultimate frisbee but a bit cacat-not reli ultimate..haha…then we learned pilate exercise…wooooo….later we come back with 6 packs i tell u…… :p

okay…that’s all for now…gotta go…very busy…
please pray for us….cuz i’ll be like preaching in one of the cf all girl school in front of over 200 students and kevin will be preaching about LOVE for valentines day in youth..and also will be doin much performances…so yea pray for us la… :p hehe
