God is awesome...
God has been challenging me to be fervent for Him and really have compassion for souls.... all i wanna do is bring people to Christ. God has also impressed on my heart to fixed my eyes on Jesus...the author and perfector of my faith. Sometimes I get a little bit too engrossed with things that God gives us...gifts, miracles etc. That I loose focus on Jesus. Anywayz, God really provided for us. Our pockets are a little tight this month. We are travelling twice this month. Earlier on we went to KL for planet shakers. Later this month we'll be goin to Bangkok then Kuching. So we had to stop over in JB over nite. We're gonna stay with my unc but he's away. We were taking a midnite flight. So we had to book into a hotel. Taxi fare ain't cheap coz it would have doubled as we're arriving past midnite. Hotel wasn't cheap. Town was 45 mins away. We thought we may as well stay over nite in the airport. Guess what...today Air asia called. They've stopped flying to JB. so we're re-routed via Kl then Kuching. We don't need to stay over nite. and we'll arrive Kuching the same nite. Praise be to God. He really provides at the rite time!

I just want to give God the glory. Here is a testimony, together with a physio doc which explains what I had wrong. What would have normally taken 6-8 weeks, the Lord did in 6-8 days! Praise Him!

This year, our Christmas theme is miracles. We called our Christmas Day service "The Gift of Miracles". Well, as I was praying one night, the Lord spoke very gently and matter-of-factly to me "You want miracles? Well, you know what must come before miracles happen." Wow, I must say I didnt quite relish what He said! But I was willing. I was desperate for Him to show Himself. I was desperate enough.... so I said Yes Lord, I know......



It was something that I bore in mind when Wed 8 Dec afternoon came round. That afternoon, together with a youth, I pushed open a heavy cast iron gate. It was opened wide enough for cars to get through, but I decided to give it one more push. On this third push, I felt the lower part of my left leg stay still but the upper part move a good 3 cm away. My knee joint went! Needless to say, the pain was excruciating and I broke out in cold sweat.



In just one moment, from being a fairly active and reasonably fit person (I had just climbed Mt Kinabalu a few months earlier) I became like an invalid. I could not lift up my left leg without using both my hands. I could not walk properly - at times my leg dragged. I could not even get into a car without grimacing in pain. My leg swelled overnight. I was unable to stand on both feet. I had to use a crutch to walk.



On that same evening it happened, I sought prayer. I announced to my husband Michael, Ps Jerry and Huan that I wanted to seek for a miracle. I really dont know what made me say that! But as a church, we had been praying. Lo and behold, the word of the Lord came saying that in a week, my knee would be well!



That night however, I could barely sleep from the pain. When morning came, I was scheduled to attend a meeting. It was to be held in a four-storey building. And yes, you guessed it - the meeting room was right at the top. Initially I thought to opt out. But there was hesitation in me. It was as if I SHOULD go. But how could I possibly walk up those stairs? There was no lift as far as I knew. When I rang up the person concerned to convey my apologies, he tried to persuade me to attend anyway. My husband of course, was concerned for me and did not want me to go!



But as I considered it before the Lord, I felt that I should. So I told my husband so, and he allowed me to do go. There was a sense of acting in the right spirit, expecting a miracle. And so I would not allow hinderances to my normal schedule!



Dr Philip Lyn confirmed my fears - I had torn the lateral ligaments of my knee. He recommended that I went to see Orthopedic Surgeons. The ortho surgeons would either put my knee in a cast, or if it was worse, they would need to operate to re-attach. I told Philip that I was looking for a miracle.



After Dr Phililp prayed, my knee felt better. But I still felt pain. After I left the clinic, I headed to the SIB Likas(E) church office. I had lots to do in preparation for another meeting that night. During my work, as I walked up and down, I could feel less pain. Praising the Lord, I pressed on!



After the meeting that night, I noticed that the pain had subsided a lot more! I was able to walk around a bit more freely. I still could not stand on both feet and I could not walk properly without pain but that night, I slept better.



On Fri morning, I noticed a marked improvement. It was so good, I decided to drive! Since my car is an automatic, I only needed to use my right foot. So gingerly, and still in pain, I made my way to the church office to work. I was walking very very slowly in case I hurt myself any more. Well, through the day, the pain got less and less!



On Sat morning, I felt really well. But my knee was still painful at times, and I still wore strapping. Then, I attended a function at Palm Square, Centre Point. I found I could walk much better. Still had some pain, and some tender spots, but much better! I didnt need the crutch and no one noticed anything "wrong".



In the evening, I went for a Prayer Meeting. What a prayer meeting! At one point, I felt an impression to kneel! I thought, "Kneel? WHAT???!!!" But there it was - an impression to kneel. And so, kneel I did, at a right angle, putting all my weight on my knees.... and I didnt feel any pain! Thus encuraged, I knelt lower. And lower. Until my legs were all folded up beneath me... God is awesome! As I obeyed, He showed His greatness! At the end of thr prayer meeting, a song was sung to which I would normally jump. I tried using my one good leg. But then the thought came - If I can kneel, maybe I can jump too....Yes, I tried! And I could! God is GOOD!



On Sunday, Michael preached in SIB Likas(E). He asked me to share my testimony. And I did. I showed them how, by the grace of God, I could kneel. It seemed to fit so well with Michael's intended message - one that God had laid on his heart, about the prayer in Eph 2.



The next day however, my foot swelled up again! It was as if the devil was mocking at the work of God. But the Lord HAD spoken! So I decided to go one step further. I felt I needed to do something in faith. God was trustworthy. I needed to have faith!



So, I removed my knee guard totally.



Initially, when I walked, I could feel some tightness and even some mild pain. I knew that one week was not yet up so I pressed on.

And so the healing progressed......



Dear ones, last night, I needed to get something urgently for a meeting. So I ran. Not tried to run. I ran.... and there were no ill effects or pain or anything. The only thing that hindered me was my lack of stamina!!!



The God in the Bible is still God today. And in this season, it is my prayer that His Life would touch yours.
